Focus Teams are how we go DEEP (Discover, Equip, Empower, and Project) with students gifts.  These teams are created and developed around student gifts, passion and vision.  Catalyst Student Ministries is a STUDENT DRIVEN youth group which means that we must be challenging teens to USE THEIR GIFTS to the Glory of God.

Focus Teams are a living part of the youth ministry here.  Teams can be formed and dissolved as needed to give students a chance to work together in an area they are interested in.  Right now we have 5 Focus Teams that function in an on-going way and 2 under construction:

These teams meet once a month to plan and discuss ways to develop their gifts and encourage other as well.  The Leadership Team (SALT) meets on the 4th Saturday of the month.  All of the other teams meet the 1st Sunday during the ACCELERATE bible study time (9am-10am).

There are 4 things needed to form a Focus Team:
1 Vision/Purpose       A clear reason for the Team to exist and grow
2 Leaders                    An Adult Coach and a Student Leader
3 Student Members  Students can recruit people at Youth Group OR other friends
4 Measurable Goals  These should be a mix of short-term and long-term goals
